Anoche empecé a ver call of the night

Al principio me emocioné porque pensé que sería una historia de autodescubrimiento asexual o arromántico. Sin embargo, cuando seguí viendo, sentí que la historia se aleja demasiado de ese camino. Toma rápidamente un tono de "chica mayor ayuda a un joven a crecer  como persona" pero luego en realidad no. Parece que nadie crece, ni Nazuna ni Ko reflexionan sobre sus emociones. Parece que tienen un poco de diálogo interno pero luego éste es interrumpido por escenas eróticas. Es una relación demasiado injusta. Pensé que el juego de que a ella se avergüence del romance sería algo que ayudaría a entender al personaje, pero solo se usa como entretenimiento. No entiendo bien qué pasa con los personajes. Creo que también nos beneficiaríamos de saber algo de la situación familiar de Ko. No sabemos nada de sus padres ni de por qué no notan que no está en su casa durante la noche. Sus interacciones con Nazuna son típicas de una relación de abuso. En ocasiones sí parece que Nazuna quiere ayudarle a descubrirse a sí mismo o a descubrirse ambos mutuamente, pero los capítulos están demasiado enfocados en la acción y el morbo como para prestarle atención a los sentimientos de sus personajes. Algo decepcionante.

Vaya summer school.

 La Summer school in algebraic topology 2024 terminó hace ya una semana. Pero qué buenos cursos, todo estuvo alucinante. Conocí a muchas personas, aunque no pedí el contacto de nadie jaja. La teoría de homotopía es una luz en el camino, me inspira a seguir aprendiendo más por ese rumbo. Conque somos el futuro de la topología algebraica, ¿eh? No me da ansia el futuro, pero sí me da curiosidad saber qué pasará.

Por cierto. Leray era un crack. En el mismo paper donde define una gavilla, una página después te dice cómo calcular la cohomología de una gavilla usando una sucesión espectral asociada a una función continua. Pedazo de leyenda. Ahora la conocemos como la sucesión espectral de Leray, aunque pasó a ser un caso especial de la sucesión espectral de Grothendieck para componer funtores derivados. En fin, qué se le va a hacer.
